A wealthy philanthropist has decided to set up an endowment fund for entering college freshmen who have declared that they intend to either go into industry, research, or public service after they complete their formal education. This individual has not ever done anything like this before and is looking at ways to develop selection criterion to use to narrow down the applicant pool.
