A website design concept
There are two specific things that I want provided as part of the design concept. First, you need to create an annotated site map. It should contain (in outline form) the hierarchy of the pages in your site, and for each page a brief description of the content that will be on that page. It's a simple (but important) part of the design process. Don't overthink it, but don't skip it, either. Your site map will be about YOUR site. Your design concept will be about YOUR site. It will NOT have diagrams or relate to software modeling. If there are a LOT of similar pages (e.g., you have a section of video game reviews, each on its own page), you may summarize these pages as a group rather than listing each page individually. Second, you need to create some representation of the visual design concept for your site. This will include a mockup of the main page layout including the basic color scheme as well as a logo. It should include major graphic elements (i.e., logo images or background images if possible) and a mock-up of the the basic look and feel of all unique page types in your site. Most sites maintain a similar look and feel (i.e., maintain a consistency) throughout, but will alter many design elements depending on the type of content being displayed. In other words, a home page and a profile page and a photo gallery page and a review page may all be significantly different and will thus need to be shown separately in the design concept. This was done using Microsoft PowerPoint. However, you can use pen and markers if you'd prefer. No matter what, though, it MUST be neat and professional looking and rendered in a way that your "client" can fully understand how each unique page type will look.
