isalpha$()$ returns true if a character is alphabetic, and false otherwise. Ex: isalpha$(\text{'}$a$\text{'})$ returns true. isalpha$(\text{'}8\text{'})$ returns false.

isdigit$()$ returns true if a character is a digit, and false otherwise. Ex: isdigit$(\text{'}8\text{'})$ returns true. isdigit$(\text{'}$a$\text{'})$ false.
