Abby Green was employed as a hairdresser by a salon owned by Hair'R'Us Ltd. which owns achain of hairdressing salons throughout Australia. She complained to her supervisor about

the conduct of her male co-workers, which included sexist remarks, displays of material she found offensive in the salon tea-room and some nuisance phone calls.

Whenever she complained, her supervisor told her not to wear such low-cut tops and shortskirts and not to be 'so precious.' Abby says she should be allowed to wear what she likes towork and always wanted to work as a hairdresser but now hates going to work.

Abby wants to lodge a complaint with the Australian Human Rights Commission againstHair'R'Us for sexual harassment.
