Security rules
Use the following information to set up your permissions matrix.
The Home site will use the 3 permissions groups created by default when the site is created.
The Home Owners group will be used by the IT team, and have Full Control over all intranet content.
Assume that all employees will be part of the Home Visitors group and have Read access to all information on the intranet.
The Home Members group will only be used for adding and editing pages in the Corporate News Pages library. This group should have Read access to all other intranet content.
Each department requires a group with Edit access to their sub-site only.
All employees should be able to edit the Employee Directory on the Home site so that they can keep their contact information up to date.
The IT department does not want anybody outside their department to see the Project Calendar except for those employees in Senior Management. The IT department may edit the calendar, but those in Senior Management should only view it.
The Salary Information list on the Human Resources sub-site needs to be restricted: the IT team may retain full control, the HR Team may have editing rights, and Senior Management should have read-only access.
