''Thepurpose of this paperisto investigatetheimpact of information system on financial performance of small farmbusinesshouseholds intheUSA. In particular,theauthors want to assesstheimpact of internet usage on small farmbusinesses, wheretheowner's main occupationisfarming. Using a nationwide farm-level data intheUSA and a non-parametric matching estimator,thestudy finds a significant positive impact of information system on gross cash income, total household income, and off-farm income.Thestudy further suggests that small farmbusinessesreceive benefits from information system as it facilitates reduction in income risk through off-farm income sources, as well as a reduction in marketing and storage costs; households' non-farm transportation and vehicle leasing expenses''
