Abstract The objective of this experiment was to measure the acceleration of an object falling under various conditions and understand how gravitv affects the object. This experiment will be consisting of dropping objects at different conditions and using a Picket Fence. This experiment is important because back in prehistoric time people would notice that when things fall out of their hand it would hit the ground, but thev did not understand whv. Even though they did not understand motion, the}r began to realize that the higher the}r dropped an object, the greater the speed would be during the fall. In 1642 Galileo Galilei studied and observed measurements of moving bodies and concluded that objects near the earth's surface fall with the same acceleration regardless of their weight
