Abstract There has been a growing discord between the different divisions of the Lithium-ion Battery Development Team (LiBDT), due to that growing discord the previous project manager was let go and I was brought on to replace him. I believe that pressure from the marketing and finance departments as well as the previous project manager, to get the new battery onto the market in time for the holidays played a part in creating the discord. Another aspect that could've have played a part in the growing discord is a difference in ethics. This report will focus on the ethical dilemma faced by the team and how the response to that dilemma could have created issues with the LiBDT, with a focus on the following three points: Evaluate the extent to which the project has been hampered by ethical dilemma. Has there been an appropriate balance between engineering integrity and business needs?
