According to an Associated Press article dated Feb. 8, 2023, "K-12 public school teachers and counselors would be largely outlawed from talking about LGBTQ people under a Missouri proposal more restrictive than what critics call Florida's "Don't Say Gay" law." *

If this law passes in Missouri, students taking the course through Dual Credit while they are still in High School may not be allowed to view last week's film, "The Laramie Project." Because there is no age-verification system to access the course, it's unclear if the college would still be allowed to cover this film since there is the possibility that a high school student could take the course.
