According to Chandler 1977 and Hoskin and Macve 1990 modern management was developed in the US from the 1840 and provided a new design for running business enterprises which is increasingly used across the world today. Describe what is new in this design at the level of both organizational structure and process and explain the roles that accounting plays in this new form of managing.
