According to Wikipedia and other sources, "The significant figures of a number are digits that carry meaning contributing to its measurement resolution". In that sense, in 123.45, there are only 5 significant digits, rather than 6 as discussed in class and explained in the textbook. Shouldn't the fact that the digit beyond 5 is uncertain mean that it should not be considered significant? Any thoughts
