Accounting Information System (AIS) takes and process data and figures from financial records to provide information to decision-makers. Specifically, AIS serves the following purposes:

1. Collection and processing data from cash sales, receivables, cash purchases, payroll and other transactions.

2. Generate report such as balance sheet.
