ACCT 232 - Principles of Accounting II Job Costing Case Study Let's Bake Cookies Your final project will allow you to apply your knowledge of Job Costing to a simple task which you can enjoy doing and then eating the finished products. The entire project is to be completed in Microsoft Excel (except the baking) and will be submitted in Blackboard. Showing a video of your work is an excellent idea! Showing a photo of the finished product is also good! 1. Select your favorite recipe! Evaluate the ingredients you will need. 2. Determine product costs. 3. Prepare cookies and analyze them for quality control purposes. Did any not meet your specifications? Did you sample any? These will all need properly recorded. The following items will need submitted for grading: 1) Recipe 2) Job Cost Sheet What is this 3) Job Measurements 4) Job Specification Required: The assignment should be submitted in Excel format, with proper formulas to determine the product cost. You should also remember to add in overhead (based on your method of allocation such as direct labor, direct materials). You should also remember to add cleanup and utility costs as part of the project cost. Adding a video or photos of the work is a nice touch!
