Adam accepted an invitation from his friend Dot to attend a minor league baseball game hosted by the Superior Rockets. Brad saw the throw coming at him, and stretched to duck out of the way. Brads sudden leap towards the base distracted the First Baseman, who completely missed the ball thrown to him. The minor league stadium, owned by the City of Superior, preferred fans being close to the action, so had very low walls between the stands and the field. The missed throw flew straight into the stands, striking Adam on the side of the head, causing a serious injury.
