The IT trend that I noticed crucial for my current organization (human resources) is Autonomic Systems, we just moved to a new hiring and job offering system, that allows us to save time when onboarding new employees. When a candidate applies for a specific position and this person gets hired, that information automatically moves to our system and we dont have to manually input all the information to our system (Teams), that coordinates with payroll, clock-ins, leaves, etc. the employee as well can access self-serve and manage their absences and approve their timecards and many other things. Since we are a small school district this means a lot for us, is time-saving, we have less contact with the candidates and employees, that at this point with this resurge of covid is crucial, we deliver better customer service and make us more competitive compared to other districts.

On the other hand, we had online classes last school year, and thats a totally different approach, our teachers handle virtual education through google classroom, additionally supported by our system (Teams), that support everything related to students too. At this moment we are offering again online synchronous and asynchronous classes for our students that dont need the extra support to pass their courses as an approach to help keep our families safe.
