Add vivid adjectives and adverbs.

I was totally confused as to why I would have been found guilty. I also lost all confidence in the judicial system. Prior to this experience I believed in the American judicial system but my trust had been shattered. Between the fabricated evidence submitted at the trial, the evidence withheld and the leading questions by both my lawyer and the prosecution to get the government witnesses to lie under oath I did not get a fair trial. All the judge could say is that there is never any perfect trial. I wasn't asking for a perfect trial but expected a fair trial.
