Advice  a couple who are expecting a child. They will settle where you live and need accommodation. One of them has started working after his studies and earns SEK 33,000 before tax and lives in a one-room apartment with a kitchenette with a rent of SEK 5,500 a month. The other is pregnant and studying, has student loans and student grants and lives in a student apartment that costs SEK 4,500 a month. They now want to move in together.

 Should they buy an apartment, house or should they settle in the small one with kitchenette or can you see other solutions for them? One of them has a saving of SEK 100,000. Use broker sites to look for accommodation and find out what it costs them to get a shared accommodation. Make a budget and use the Swedish Consumer Agency's budget calculation when planning the couple's finances. Think about planning for all parts of the couple's finances and explain in detail how you think they should do. Also plan for unforeseen events such as rising inflation. How can they protect their finances? Show the budget in your answer.

 Should they marry or cohabit? The couple wonders how the rules might affect the child and themselves if they no longer want to live together later in life. They also want to know what the differences are regarding inheritance rights. Advise them on this matter and explain the difference between being married and cohabiting.
