Tutorial/Discussion Forum Question Barrett, a dairy farmer in Wainadoi approached Carlos, who had recently bought a goat farm in the hills outside Namosi, as to the possibility of his goats grazing on Carlos's land in return for a fee payable by Barrett to Carlos. Barrett has heard from talking to other goat farmers' that the grass in the hills outside Namosi was very good for goats which would make his goats grow bigger and fatter. When Barrett asked Carlos whether the grass on his land would make his goats grow bigger and fatter, Carlos replied "yes, the grass here will be very good for your goat's needs". The parties immediately entered into a written contract whereby Carlos would let Barrett graze his goats on Carlos's land in return for a fee to Carlos. After one month, Barrett visited Carlos farm to see his goats. He was very disappointed to learn that five of his male goats died because they contracted a Haemonchus contortus virus from one of Carlos goats. (Haemonchus contortus infection is a type of disease in goats that lead to poor growth, weight loss, diarrhea, a scruffy hair coat, anemia, and intermandibular edema). Carlos was aware of this but did not tell Barrett. Advise Barrett whether he can claim a breach of collateral contract or not
