After a well-publicized hate killing on public transit in a major northwest city, protest organizations that identify as "alt-right" defined as an alternative right political perspective planned a freedom of speech rally and a rally "against Sharia law and for human rights" planned by the group "ACT for America" that called itself "the NRA [National Rifle Association] of national security."

Considering the city's mourning for the victims, the Mayor called for the revocation of permits for the rallies to take place in the city's public parks claiming that, if held according to plan, many people would be injured and incited to riot. The group claimed their First Amendment rights to peaceably assemble outweighed the Mayor's fear. Which side will win and why?[1]
