After completing a two$-$year full$-$time degree in Entrepreneurship, Mr$.$ Pranav Kumar wishes to open a chain of restaurants in Pune. Prem Mehra who is Pranav's school time friend and also a business consultant at a global Management consultancy is helping him in setting up his venture. While advising Pranav regarding locations of restaurants, marketing & promotion of the chain over various media channels, logistics and distribution of materials required for running the restaurant, also gave him a valuable advice and that was to start contacting an HR outsourcing firm for recruiting candidates for various job profiles such as head chef, preparation cooks, bar manager, bartender, maintenance and cleaning staff, waiters and waitresses etc. However, the main job role for which he asked Pranav to be concurrently involved in hiring was that of a restaurant manager as he$/$she would act as the back bone of the restaurant. Pranav himself is not aware of the job duties and responsibilities of the restaurant manager, to which Prem suggested that in comparable restaurant chains in Pune the job role of restaurant manager in general consists of maintaining the restaurant's revenue, profitability and quality goals. He$/$she would also have to ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high quality and customer$-$service standards.
