This was my scenario from week 1
A real-life problem of an incident that I can think of concerning my job as a lab tech testing and retesting samples that have or have not met expectations. Daily testing is done on different rubber adhesive, cord, and overage products because of failure. This problem seems to be a structured issue, because data is highly organized and formatted in a way so it's easily searchable in relational databases.Several steps have to be met before a product can be released, problems are encountered daily. We are continually testing and retesting making adjustments. Logging data in some tests are automatically inputted into the database system. When we follow the seven-step modeling process, Defining the problem by asking what is wrong with the product? Why did it fail? Is there too much tack due to heat sensitivity? Next, collect and summarize data we can go back and look at our records to see what format was used and if this problem has happened before, what measure we're taking to get it to approve for use. Developing a model most of the time requires lots of pictures and graphs to measure the difference and variance. Select one or more suitable decision after the sample have been completed and cured is the outcome what we are looking for, if not move to the next step according to the referential and lab guidelines.We then present the results to the manager once the samples are approved, the data is stored, graphs are printed. The product is documented and tagged as passed or failed, and the results are dated and processed, then communicated to the leading manager. Lastly, implement the model and update it over time once the product passes all the tests it's released.
