After watching the video, the data regarding Medicaid spending back 2016 it is shown how Medicaid contributes and its huge portion. Since poverty is so high, seems unemployment is on its ultimate high. In the percent change in Medicaid spending and enrollment, state fiscal years 1998-2021 we can observe some drastic changes within the date. The recession occurred in 2008, however the total Medicaid spending was not as high as year 2002 or 2015. Could be due to lack of enrollment? Why was the population not enrolling so much? In 2008 the enrollment was 3.1 and in 2015 enrollment was 13.2. In my perceptive shouldn't it be the other way around. Why did this occur? Did enrollment affect the budget since the economy was going through a recession? In my opinion the best approach would be the public-private Democratic party Approach: Private Insurance , Public Option & Mandates
