Every day this semester, Dennis sat in the quad and watched a particular student walk to her 6:00 pm. class. He often noticed her really nice IPAD that she either had in her hand or in her unzipped bag. Dennis wanted that IPAD. With the last day of class quickly approaching, Dennis decided to act. First, Dennis borrowed a gun, but did not tell the gun owner why he needed it. Second, Dennis bought a hoodie so he could conceal his face when he walked up to the student, and third, he texted UBER to pick him up next to the quad promptly at 5:58 pm. so he could make a quick getaway. Armed with a gun and a getaway plan, Dennis pulls the hoodie over his head when the student walks through the quad right on schedule. Dennis intended to walk up behind her, stick the gun in her back, quietly whisper that she should not move or scream or he'll kill her, and then take her IPAD. However, when Dennis walked up behind the student, he noticed that she was listening to music through her ear buds that were connected to her phone and that the IPAD was just inside her open bag that was over her shoulder. Dennis simply walked up behind her, quietly lifted the IPAD out of her bag, and turned around towards the waiting UBER car.
