agree or disagree with post? why? 300 words or more
There is evidence that supports how traps that indicate how individuals pursue preferences and the form in which they interpret opposing information. Being in the medical field we as subject matter experts can misdiagnose or misinterpret symptoms or even medical results therefore treating for the wrong illness or disease for that matter creating a domino effect that destabilizes the decision making process and in some cases loosing the confidence of our patience. In the medical field not everything is black and white and in many cases there are gray spaces where medical experts have to look beyond what the naked eye can see to truly diagnose a patient properly. Medical experts can be over zealous and overly confident which creates a trap and can fog our judgment and the accuracy of how to treat a patient. The Hidden Traps in Decision Making state there are eight decision traps that take affect into an individuals psychological method in which they make a decision. The Overconfidence Trap is related to verifying evidence. When an individual is in a situation as I mentioned about like an overconfident medical expert, is subject to making an inaccurate decisions based on their individual belief and certainty of their own ability and knowledge to predict the outcome and or solution or issue at hand (Hammond, Keeney, Raiffa, 1998). Andrew Campbell, Sydney Finkelstein and Jo Whitehead revealed the form in which the human brain can fall in entrapment when in a dilemma of processing how to make a decision. Why Good Leaders Make Bad Decisions demonstrate the technique the brain has acquired to make shortcuts and the way that evolution can interfere in societies decision-making. There are modules and steps people can take to guide them in making the best possible decisions by identifying any red flags and to categorized any precautions that will manipulate the decision (Campbell, Whitehead, Finkelstein, 2013).
