Alia bought a second-hand generator set from Farid for RM8,000. She was not aware

that the generator was jointly owned by Farid and his friend, Adam. With Adam's

permission, Farid was put in possession of the generator. Even though Alia had paid the

price, Farid could not deliver the machine as he was stopped by Adam from doing so.
