The week liquor enters the tower at a rate of 20 L/s from top with SO concentration of 0.5% by weight and leaves from bottom with SO concentration of 1% by weight. The gas stream entering the bottom of the tower (Flowing in counter current fashion with respect to week liquor) contains 17% by volume SO. When the gas leaves the tower from top, 75% of SO gets absorbed. The pressure in the tower becomes 151.325 KPa and operates isothermally at 308 K (35 C). Assuming that the liquor has a specific gravity of 1.0. Calculate (3 marks) Data: R=8.31451 m. KPa/(kmol. K) a. Molar flow rate of entering gas. b. Volumetric flow rate of entering gas.
