All students are to create a Basketball Operations Budget for the fiscal year of a college program. Below you will see areas as a guideline to go off of. I expect you to put a lot of thought into this assignment when breaking down each area of the overall budget. This could be for either a women or mens team. Students are required to create the team budget using excel spreadsheet.

Try to guess as best as possible for the price ranges but some research will be required. For the meals just generally say that we give all athletes $36 per day for meals ($9 Breakfast, $11 Lunch, $16 Dinner)

-Recruiting Budget

(Transportation, gas, hotels, meals, coaches packets, visits, parking. Specifically break down each trip and estimate expenditures)

5 AAU Recruiting Events, 5 High School Games, 5 High School Practices

5 Official Visits 2 of the 5 are going to be purchasing flights (Recruits are able to stay near campus overnight & coaches are allowed to purchase all meals for

entire family, flight only for prospect, hotel is complimentary. Official visits cannot last more than 48 hours.)

5 Unofficial Visits (Coaches may only provide one meal during Unofficial Visits)

Los Angeles Trip : 5-day trip (20 travelers, flights, meals, vehicles/bus, parking)

Non-Conference: 4 Non- Conference Home Games (Pre-Game Meals)

22 Conference Games (11 of them are on the road. What are the locations & what are we spending per trip. Two games per weekend. There is one odd game

out where it is during the week usually)
