Allan is a professor at Algonquin College. He is provided an office at the college but due to COVID, he works entirely from home. He is asked what courses he would prefer to teach but the college makes any final choice on actual courses taught. Allan is scheduled by Algonquin College to teach these classes at a certain day and time. Outside of this schedule, Allan can work at any point in the day or any day of the week. If he would like to take some time off in a morning to go shopping, he can. Although Allan is provided with a College laptop, he does most of his work on his own personal computer. Allan incurs costs associated with working from home like space used in the house, electricity, paper, toner, etc. Although paper and toner costs can be claimed for reimbursement from the college, he does not get reimbursed.
