Allegra is a music history scholar focusing on the history of choral music. She discovered in the 1960s Margaret Bonds, a famous writer of choral music, had extensive as yet unpublished correspondence with noted poet Langston Hughes and wrote an as yet unpublished choral work based on a Langston Hughes poem cycle. Allegra would like to do the following:

1. a scholarly dissertation about Bonds' and Hughes' correspondence that quotes extensively from their correspondence and discusses its role in the history of choral music.
2. Photocopy all of Bonds' and Hughes' letters and distribute them via Moodle to her 30-person online music history class for discussion.
3. Publish (and sell) Bonds' unpublished choral manuscript.
4. Record one of Bonds' songs, manipulate the recording, and use it as part of the backing track for a rap song.
5. and perform a Broadway-style musical about Bonds and Hughes that tells a partially fictionalized account of their friendship and incorporates the choral songs and elements of their letters.

Bonds and her family are all deceased, so Allegra has no idea whom to ask for permission. You represent Allegra.
