Workers were unhappy under management therefore they were absent a lot. When Toyota took over, they changed the culture. They showed their employees respect and that when they seen a problem they can stop the assembly line to fix it right away instead of waiting until later. The workers responded well to these changes allowing the plants overall culture to change and quality of production to become better. This soon became a change within the organizational culture.
