Amateur pilot Khalid wants to purchase a Wingcraft airplane. Because he lives near the coast, he asks whether salty sea air affects aircraft performance. The Wingcraft sales associate states that sea air has no effect, even though internal company documents, which the sales associate knew about, show that engine gaskets wear out twice as fast if operated near coastal areas. Khalid's engine eventually suffers a catastrophic failure due to a blown gasket. Unfortunately, due to the failure, Khalid suffered personal injury when the airplane was forced to make an emergency landing.
