Amount recorded in the GL for this customer is $38,422. Auditor attempted to contact the customer, but after several failed attempts and further research we determined that this customer went out of business in November 2014. Does not appear that this receivable will be collectible and should be written off. Appears that this email was manufactured by the client to inflate receivables - creates a fraud risk that needs to be further examined.

The email confirms the outstanding balance.
