An extended paragraph of persuasion on brown sugar is healthier than white sugar are health myths.

 

1. revise the thesis from your outline. Correct the errors in your thesis if you have them.

2. for the three appeals, develop each point in your outline into a set of complete sentences (text). This is the body of your paragraph. 

3. revise the conclusion. Your conclusion is a paraphrased thesis (change the subjects and use synonyms).

4. your paragraph is ONE chunk of text -- you should not divide it into more "paragraphs"/parts.

5. your paragraph should NOT contain any numbers or symbols from the outline; the outline is separate from the paragraph. The outline is a plan you use to write; the paragraph is the writing itself; it is just that -- a chunk of text.

6. as you are developing your writing, please think about the transitions you should use to make your text flow smoothly. Please consult the table of transitions -- the words that connect sentences in your text -- posted on this page.
