Awesome Ltd received a cheque of $20,000 from a customer, Efficient Enterprise, on June 25, 2021. Efficient Enterprise was not listed in the ageing analysis of accounts receivable as the debt owed was written off in 2018. The accountant has not recorded this cheque as at June 30, 2021. After examining the balances of accounts receivable, Awesome Ltd decided to write off a further debt from Existence & Co of $12,000, which were dated January 15, 2018. The owner, Mr. Existence, cannot be traced for payment. Required: (a) Construct the 'Allowance for Doubtful Debts' account for Awesome Ltd as at June 30, 2021 (9 marks) (b) Prepare journal entries to record the bad debt recovered and receipt of cheque of $20,000 from Efficient Enterprise.
