1. Search the internet for a company that operates on a global scale.

2. Visit this companys current career opportunities webpage and select a job posting for a global job that the company is looking to fill. Avoid choosing a professional or management-level job.

3. In your first presentation, introduce the company and the job that your group has selected.

4. Then present your analysis of the job posting:

Since job postings are essentially derived from job descriptions, compare and contrast the job posting that you've selected to the sample job description provided in our eText on page 146: "Highlights in HRM 4.1". For example, is information or some sections missing in your selected job posting? Are the job duties described well? Is there anything concerning (i.e. potentially discriminatory)? Are the job specifications justified for a global job or can anything else be added?

6. Conclude your overall assessment of whether or not the job description and specifications will contribute to the best practices in recruitment and selection for this global job.

NOTE: Ensure that your recommendations are specific to the job and company in question, and are not just general suggestions. Remember to use International HRM concepts when justifying your choices.
