Analyze the adult assessment tool : Substance Use, Adult

• Why did you select the assessment tool?
• Why might it be especially helpful for use with adults?
• What challenges or limitations might there be for this assessment tool?

I chose this assessment due to personal reasoning with my family members what has a substance use. It was interesting to me to know that the assessment was really short only 10 questions that only go back to two weeks prior to the appointment.

The assessment is helpful for use with adults because it's not long. Knowing what I know about a person who abuses prescription or drugs doesn't like a lot of questions or long questions. The assessment is right to the point. . Consistently high scores on the measure may indicate significant and problematic areas that might warrant further assessment, treatment, and follow-up. Your clinical judgment should guide your decision.

Some challenges if the client not being truthful about the usage so as the social worker it will be hard to track
