Choose a friend or family member with whom you feel comfortable. Develop 1020 questions for a job analysis interview. Chapter Questions #1-6 can be a starting point, but follow-up questions will be necessary. Conduct the interview with this friend or family member and take notes of their full responses. Part 1 requires submission of the full questions and the responses.
Part 2: Writing a Job Description
Write the job description and ask the person to review it for accuracy. Be sure the job description is written and formatted professionally by using one of the previously researched templates, or a different one. Part 3: Job Design
Identify three aspects of the job that could be demotivating based on the Hackman and Oldham Job Characteristics Model. Rewrite the job description from Part 2 and highlight the changes. After the job description, summarize in about 750 words the rationale for modifying the job description. Reference the job characteristics model, and if possible, feedback from the interviewee.
