Question:
Ann employee received the schedule for the following month but cannot work on one of her regular shift because of a personal travel plan. She request off for that day, but got a "no" from the manager, yet still went to travel, so there is a no show shift. She had a verbal warning before for being late. Since there is unapproved absence and insubordination involved, do you think she should receive a written warning letter, a one-day suspension, or a combination of those two? Also, do you think finding a case about insubordination and a case for someone being late to assess the disciplinary letter is proper? Both of the cases end with only written letter
