Dg parallel circuit (note: prefix M is Mega in the resistances): (note 3) Given the following R1 Es 60 V R2 R3 a) Find the current flowing thr ough each of the resistors. That is, find l,, 2 and la. b) Find the source current is using Kirchhoff's Current Law (KCL). That is, find the value of Is and label the direction of Is on the schematic. c) Find the total (equivalent) resistance Rr of the circuit (R-Reo) d) Find the source current is (a gain), but use Ohm's Law along with the values of Es and Rr (from part c). e) Find the power dissipated in each resistor. That is, find Ps, P2, and Ps. f) Find the power that the source delivers to the circuit. That is, find Ps g) Use Conservation of Energy to check your answers for parts e and f. That is, show that the sum of the powers dissipated in the resistors is equal to the power delivered by the source (show your work). h) Use the current divider rule to find the current through R2 (that is, find l2 again). Note that you must use the current divider rule that applies to any number of resistors in parallel (in this circuit there are three resistors in parallel)
