Joseph and Isabella, founders of Life+Style have recently decided to purchase Canyon Adventures, a small, financially troubled chain of active wear retail stores, mostly located in the western United States. As they announced the purchase to their headquarters staff, Isabella explained "They had become our largest retail outlet but ran into financial problems when they tried to expand too quickly. It's a great opportunity to take control of our retail presence and grow at the same time. I'm sure you are all curious about what that means to us here, so l'm bringing Carson up here to answer your questions." As he took the microphone from Isabella, HR Director Carson said "We still have a lot to figure out here, and we'll try to give you all the most current information we can. I've shopped there and know some people who work at their headquarters. They're not known for being. how should I put this... they're not very open minded. They're really top-down autocratic. Store managers don't get to make very many decisions and have ridiculous sales quotas. Their customer service is terrible. Just check their ratings online. You're not going to bring their customer service people in to replace us are you? They'I ruin the good thing we have here." Carson looked at Isabella who took the microphone.
