Using Excel - recreate this spreadsheet and using formulas calculate using a 3month moving average the forecast for month 12 . 2. Using Excel - continuing with same spreadsheet do the following: a. Use the answer to \#1 above as the "Actual" for month 12 b. Create a new column and calculate a weighted average forecast for months 4 through 12 , using the weights 3,5 , and 9 . (Remember: At these weights - what are you dividing by???) c. Create two new columns showing the AF for both the Moving Average and the Weighted Moving Average d. Determine the MAD for these forecasts. 3. Using Excel - and again using the above data along with your 3-month moving average calculation for month 12 - find SLOPE and INTERCEPT and using the Linear Regression method forecast sales for year 2 - This is independent from \#2 above.
