(6 pt.) A technician is planning an experiment to determine the lifetime of a piece of equipment under extreme heat conditions. He obtains 10 pieces of equipment (which are quite expensive), randomly assigns 5 of those pieces to a treatment of \"ve times the normal Operating temperature\" and 5 pieces to a treatment of \"ten times the normal operating temperature\". He then places the two sets of 5 pieces of equipment into two controlled environment chambers and sets the temperature for the appropriate treatments. The time at which each piece of equipment fails is recorded. (a) What are the experimental units in this experiment? What are the sam pling units? (b) Assuming that we want to analyze the results of this study using the experimental approach (which is all we've talked about to this point), is this experiment worth doing? Why or why not
