Answer ALL the questions in this section. You are required to contact a local non-profit organization (NPO) in your community. Inform them that you are interested in learning about the projects they engage in and more specifically on how they plan for managing the project scope of a current project. Contribute a few hours of your time to the project. Through this process you will be helping an organization in need and simultaneously be learning about real-world projects. You are then required to compile a report on the following information listed below regarding the NPO project that you worked on. This assessment requires you to practically apply all of the concepts and theories in project scope and time management to the NPO project that you worked on. It is not necessary for you to cite the theory. You must, however, present in your write-up of the report: a back ground to the NPO project, a business case, the scope definition, the scope statement, and a WBS, all for the NPO project that you worked on. Be mindful of the marks allocated in creating an appropriate response to each requirement listed below.
(5 Marks) Give a brief background of the project that the NPO is currently working on. State the projects objective, its constraints, resources required, the available budget and schedule. 2 (20 Marks) Draw up Business Case for the above project.
(5 Marks) Develop a scope definition.
(20 Marks) Construct a Scope Statement for the project identified.
(10 Marks) Assuming that the project has been accepted, develop a simple Work Breakdown Structure for the project.
