Section 4(1) of the Industrial Relations Act 1967 states that: "No person shall interfere with, restrain, or coerce a workman or an employer in the exercise of his rights to form and assist in the formation of and join a trade union to participate in its lawful activities."
In light of the above provision, examine the extent to which a trade union and a workman may make a claim that an employer has violated a worker's rights in exercising his rights as a member and/or to participate in the activities of the trade union without restraint and without interference from the employer.
