1. In this unit, I searched for a job under the management section. To my surprise, there were a lot of occupations that were available with the use of a bachelor's degree. One being a Facilities Manager, which makes about $98,890 a year. The highest being a Computer and Information Systems Manager making about $151,150 a year. The last job that interested me would be the Financial Manager which makes about $134,180 a year. I was surprised by this information because I was under the impression a lot of management positions make under $100,000 a year but it was good to know that there are positions out there that will be able to pay us the pay we are expecting to find with a bachelor's degree. I found this field trip interesting because it opened the door to more possibilities in the workforce for us to apply to. It also sets down the expectations of how much we should be getting paid with a bachelor's degree. I liked the way it laid out the information and it was very user-friendly which made it easier to understand what we were looking for. Overall, I would say this was an interesting experience and I appreciate the topic.
2. First I clicked management and saw that top executives have a median pay of 107,680. I'm interested in being a business owner as well as a landlord. I am also interested in being a top executive for my business. Second I had clicked on legal where I had found that lawyers make 126,930 as a median pay for 2020. Although I could never bring myself to go to law school, law has always interested me. Third I had clicked on sales and had found that Real estate brokers and sales agents make a median pay of 51,220. This also interested me since I would like to be a landlord as well as a real estate agent. I found this field trip interesting since the numbers I found for these jobs are almost as high as some of the tuition for schools I would like to go to. Although lawyers are the highest paying out of the three that I have selected, law school is also very expensive. Many students get trapped in the cycle of student debt and student loans due to these high prices in order to get something as simple and basic As education.
