QUESTION Ahmed, a lorry driver in Jubail, was hired by Salleh to deliver fish to his customer, Bakr, in Riyadh. Ahmed was given the address and telephone number of Bakr. Along the way Ahmed met with an accident and he could not proceed with the journey. A few boxes fell on the road and the fish were scattered all over. Ahmed tried to contact Salleh and Bakr to inform them about the accident, but they could not be reached. Not knowing what to do, Ahmed summoned for another lorry to carry the goods to Riyadh. It took some time for the second lorry to arrive. Since some of the fish were about to go bad, Ahmed gave it away to the villagers. When the second lorry finally arrived, the boxes of fish were finally delivered to Bakr. Discuss who is responsible to pay for the cost of the second lorry?
