It should be noted that most people do not identify with just one type since combining two or more is often more accurate and descriptive. The key to being eligible for full credit in this assignment is to consider all the related issues, including,but not limited to, theories and components of Value Systems.

  1. Which value system/s are more closely related to your personal value system?

Relevant information to complete the assignment: According to Eduard Springer, there are six different types of people based on their frameworks for developing their beliefs or value systems. These six value systemsare:

  • The theoretical person. This person seeks to discover the truth. They observe happenings and think them through, trying to put ideas into a system whenever possible. They avoid judgments about the beauty or usefulness of ideas.
  • The economic person. Personal needs, production, marketing, credit, and wealth are more important to this type of person than social or artistic values. Things in life that are useful are the most important.
  • The aesthetic person. Beauty, form, and harmony are most important to this individual.
  • The social person. This person values and loves other people. Kindness and unselfishness are both critical values.
  • The political animal. This type is very power motivated. Their values center on influence, fame, and management. These individuals do well in careers that involve the use of power and control.
  • The religious person. To this individual, the highest value is unity. Therefore, they try to understand the universe as a whole and relate to it meaningfully.
