ANZ (parent company) is a national power utility company which has created 1 subsidiary (ANZ GenCo) in order to strengthen the segment of power generation and related business. This study is to examine the acceptance of the staff who are assigned to the subsidiary (ANZ GenCo). ANZ (parent company) consist of 29,000 staff and 3,500 of them are assigned to the new subsidiary (ANZ GenCo). ANZ GenCo already in operations since 2 years ago. 

The executive summary of ANZ GenCo are as per below: 

 Was incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of ANZ on 1st Oct 2020, becoming a fully integrated company with E2E capabilities ranging from plant development, Operation & Maintenance to end-of life management

Focuses on power generation, home to a well-diversified portfolio of domestic conventional and renewable generation assets

As a leading power producer, our primary role is to provide secure, stable, reliable and sustainable power in contributing to the long-term energy needs of the country

Has delivered strong capacity growth and improvement in operational performance since Reimagining Tenaga (RT) strategy launch in 2016

Domestically, national generation market is currently experiencing a slowing demand growth and overcapacity due to higher reserve margins of above 35-52% till 2029. Capacity growth for conventional generation is limited till 2029

Aspires to become a top power generation solutions provider that sustainably delivers value to all stakeholders by delivering an EBIT of RM 2.5 Bn by 2025 by focusing key strategic initiatives: Turnaround Excellence, Productivity Uplift and Asset & Service Expansion whilst sustaining BAU performance within Power Purchase Agreement levels

For the next 4 years, will need to accelerate plant turnaround program for new fleets and sustain the impact of value uplifts, develop pipeline of new assets plant-ups & services businesses and unlock productivity savings

 ANZ GenCo Head Office consists of eight (8) key departments & organized functionally as eight verticals consist of Technical team and Support Service team.
