Harris Ltd. declared and paid dividends of $0.80 per share. Peterson prepared its financial statements for the first quarter. The Harris shares were trading at $55 per share at this date. Peterson sold all of its Harris shares at $80 per share, less fees of 2% of the trade value. Apr. 15 Required: a. Prepare all necessary journal entries related to the above transactions assuming that the shares were held for trading and classified as fair value through net income. b. Prepare all necessary journal entries related to the above transactions assuming that the investment was classified as fair value through other comprehensive income
