This exercise gives you an opportunity to use the tools we have discussed to develop enhanced performance metrics for your job. Directions 1. Develop a new performance evaluation form for your job. Your plan should include the following elements: * Measures for Outcomes, Processes, and Initiatives. * A statement about how Objective, Complete, and Responsive the measures are, individually and as a set. 2. Discuss your new evaluation form with your supervisor, and then revise them as needed. Reflecrion Thinking about how you are being evaluated can help you identify ways to improve your performance in your current job. Just as important, however, is thinking about where you would like to see yourself in the future. Are there some tasks that you could begin to delegate? As we discussed in Module 1, Competency 3, Mentoring and Developing Others, delegating can both help you improve your supervisory skills and free up time for developing skills in new areas. Perhaps you can incorporate some metrics for leading new initiatives into your performance evaluation to demonstrate your ability to manage change in your organization, a topic that we address in Module 4, Competency 5, Implementing and Sustaining Change
